SAM ByteBus-8

1)     Power – NOTE POLARITY

a)     Connect 12VDC to Terminal Block J1 (labeled “Aux. Power”)

2)     ByteBus Cable – NOTE POLARITY

a)     Connect communications twisted pair to Terminal block J4 (labeled “A”).

3)     Configure Operation

a)     Set Group ID switches (see Table)

b)     Push Reset switch SW4 (with power on)

Switches 2&3 Actuator Release Time
00 10 seconds
10 2 minutes
01 4 minutes
11 6 minutes

 TWIN-3: Flame Sensors       CAUTION: 400 Volts

1)     ByteBus Cable – NOTE POLARITY

a)     Connect communications twisted pair to Terminal block TB1.

b)     Connect 12VDC wires to heater (no polarity)

2)     Set Address Switch S1 to any unused address

TWIN-8: Control Pad

1)     ByteBus Cable – NOTE POLARITY

a)     Connect communications twisted pair to Terminal block TB1, labeled “ByteBus”.

b)     Connect 12VDC wires to Terminal block TB1, labeled “Vaux”

2)     Set Address Switch S1 to any unused address

3)     Plug Mode Select switch connector to J5, labeled “Mode Select” (black wire to pin next to J5)

4)     Plug Release push button switch connector to J3, labeled “Switch” (no polarity)

5)     Plug LED connector to J4, labeled “Alarm” (red wire to pin next to “Alarm”)

6)     Switch J2 is unused

TWIN-10: OptoIsolated Actuator

1)     ByteBus Cable – NOTE POLARITY

a)     Connect communications twisted pair to Terminal block TB1, labeled “ByteBus”.

2)     Set Address Switch S1 to any unused address

3)     Connect Valve wires to Terminal Block TB103, labeled “Load” – note polarity

4)     Suggested Valve wiring:

a)     Connect 12VDC positive lead to “Load +” on TB103

b)     Connect first Valve wire to “Load –“ on TB103

c)     Connect second Valve wire to 12VDC negative lead
